As a church we are connected with billions of Christians around the globe, here’s a taster of some of those connections…
Church of England - We are part of the Chichester Diocese of the Church of England but we have come from a wide variety of church backgrounds to join to together as the St Matthew's family.
Evangelical Alliance - We are a member of the Evangelical Alliance and subscribe to their statement of faith. We also seek to work with other churches both locally and nationally for the renewal of our town and nation.
New Wine - Our Vicar is part of the New Wine Network taking part in leader's events and having led an area group in his previous role. A number of church members attend the Summer Conferences.
24/7 Prayer and Wildfires - Passionate believing prayer is a top priority at St Matthew’s and we will be joining in the Wildfires Festival this year to connect with others and with God.
We also support a number of missionaries and mission organisations working in various countries, as well as several charities making a difference in our local community.
